If you are considering applying for a Technical Support role, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully before doing so.
Despite the title, the role feels much more like a call centre position where every aspect of your work is monitored and tracked. Performance targets are extremely difficult to achieve, and employees often feel more like numbers than valued professionals.
There is very little trust or autonomy, and the level of monitoring can make it difficult to feel respected for your expertise and experience.
There is also a significant emphasis on AI, to the point where it can feel as though the long-term goal is to replace technical support employees rather than invest in and develop them.
Another aspect I found concerning was the use of accent-modification tools. Accents are part of who we are and should not be treated as something that needs to be hidden or corrected.
