Pros

People who work here care deeply about the art form and want the Company to succeed.

Cons

Long hours, high burnout and turnover, and after a leadership transition over a year ago there still doesn't feel like there is a cohesive vision for the Company beyond "don't go bankrupt."

Pros

The thrill of working for a world-class cultural institution, easy access to fantastic performances, and decent benefits. But beware: the glitz and glamour fade.

Cons

Some departments are extremely dysfunctional. Many of those in managerial positions have little or no experience supervising--and it shows. Lower level employees barely make a livable salary for the most expensive city in the U.S. There's a lack of work/life balance in most areas. There is little room for advancement or long term development as an early-career employee--as well as a total lack of appreciation for high quality work, as quantity rules over quality.

Very long hours for very low pay; lots of disorganization, and sometimes unattainable expectations
