Pros

There are no good reasons to work there. The stock is doing fine, but the culture is atrocious, just a bunch of loudmouth yes men Mid level management was ok.

Cons

Too many to name you're watched like a hawk, for no apparent reason either. Visible antagonism towards random employees. Old school company with old school management methodologies. Everyone was LOUD and in each others personal business. Everyone was in constant battle, Not enough processes set. High level management was always suspicious of their employees. Only your direct level peers offer any help or support.

No Clear Direction

Pros

Benefits were decent and some of the workers that I met were pretty friendly. Good cafeteria and free breakfast on Friday.

Cons

Downside is most or all the senior management staff. There is no clear direction of where the company is heading and not sure if they have the experience to do otherwise. I would not recommend this job to any of my friends since I want to keep them as friends. Times are tought with the economy but there are decent jobs out there but SanDisk is not one of them.

SanDisk...not the worst but definitely not the best of employers

Pros

SanDisk used to be a place that had great prospsects and tremendous growth. The best reasons to work there are that the benefits are reasonable, and the employees in general are co-ordial.

Cons

The pay is below the industry average and the industry is extremely brutal when it comes to layoffs during downturns. There was a lot of shifting in priorities. The commandments come straight from the top and there doesn't seem to be a lot of empowerment of the middle management. Some employees were treated pretty badly. There are a lot of politics involved within the corporate side of things. The stock price now is abyssmal.
