A lot of internal politics and infighting. Every quarter is a fight for survival where you or your entire BU can be cut at any time. The large ego of employees makes it hard to exchange ideas and information, especially to add suggestions to product design. Not a good place for young and inexperienced employees at all. There is no employee training or mentoring in some groups. Said workplace attitude makes it very hard to get someone to sit down and teach you anything for both time constraint reasons as well as political reasons (if you learn anything, you might put someone else out of the job). Very long hours of boring, repetitive grunt-work with no appreciation. You can work weekends (12 hours a day, Saturday and Sunday) for months at a time just to meet the very badly defined project timelines.

A few of the products could be better thought-out. There's definitely one or two situations where a product was created without a problem for it to solve. Building new products that don't directly support some current software is a definite no-no these days, so that will have to be addressed ASAP.
