Pros

If you're in the right place, the lab can be a very exciting place to be. New Mexico is beautiful. Facilities have greatly improved. Offices are generally nice. Very high level of job security. Work pace is what you make it.

Cons

Highly distrustful relationship between our customer, DOE, and the laboratory. Don't apply unless you're an engineer. EEO goes far beyond the law. Many co-workers are unhappy people..causes lots of emotional stress at the workplace. Benefits are being seriously reduced at the end of the year. Security clearances are required, personal, and intrusive.
