Pros

Decent pay for non degree holders, good 401k and health care, promote quickly in collections only

Cons

A great collector does not make a great manager, the customers can be VERY ignorant about their loans, Be More policy will be company's undoing, coworkers are ignorant and ghetto, promotions to other departments seem raced or sexual preference based, and if you start in collections it is extremely difficult to get out unless you know someone

Growing pains with a growing company...but good problems to have

Pros

The opportunities for growth are big within most areas of the business. Also, stability within the company is huge--great financials. Their market share continues to rise and gain 'street cred'. Lastly, their relaxed work attire is appealing in 100 degree summers.

Cons

Most of these are related to the hyper-growth with SCUSA. The branding of the company is still up in the air. What does SCUSA want to be when it grows up? Also, the culture of the company is still in development. How do you want to be perceived by employees? Lastly, since new areas and groups are being added, internal processes are a pain as they change regularly due to growth.

Pros

I'm stay here in hope that policies will change. Business outlook is good.

Cons

Bonuses are mostly based on the luck of the draw. Employees with the least charged off accounts are eligible for the largest bonus. Our files are shuffled monthly. .In my department only two employees were in the top 25% for 3 or more months in the last six months. There are approximately 110 employees in this department, The top 50% may receive a bonus. They use "call miner" a phone system which detects any type of violation. One miscue and you lose your bonus for up to 3 months and if you don't get a good "book" you are eventually terminated.
