Pros

People, science, vendors, actual sick time vs PTO, my manager rocks and so does my team! I’ve been in this industry for over 20 years and have worked for all types of companies from CRO to small biotech to big Pharma and this is by far the best! I’m glad I joined. I’ve never seen a company caring this much for patients, it’s great!

Cons

Not sure all the negatives but things have changed dramatically, every company has their challenges - the grass is never greener. It’s the people wanting to make things better, you just have to roll with it. In this industry, no job is 100% perfect. If you don’t like it than you leave.

Pros

The technology is really interesting, and all the lower level associates and managers were awesome. They knew their jobs and the technology very well, and worked hard to do a good job.

Cons

Most of the directors and higher were liars, idiots, and loved playing politics over doing a good job and collaborating. One of the directors that came into the Technology Development department didn't even know how to look at data in an excel sheet. We heard horror stories from our managers of VPs and Directors yelling and swearing at people when things went wrong. Overall, very little chance of promotion, or being recognized for good work. HR was powerless.

Cons

-management has minimal organization -lack of communication between departments and huge data gaps - no clear goals for future directions - lots of politics and drama between department heads
