Wonderful family ownership who truly cares about their employees. The pay is great, flexibility is outstanding, the benefits are fantastic, and the activities Sargento offers are wonderful. Their motto is 'Hire good people and treat them like family," and they live by this motto. GREAT PLACE TO WORK!!

Cons

Office employees have more opportunities and are given more such as outings, food, and flexibility than the manufacturing(plant) employees are. It is due to the nature of the business but there is a noticeable difference.

This is a company that treats its employees as a person, not a number. They offer a great work-life balance program and have been perfecting it since 1953. They've even hired a Work-Life Balance Coach to keep employees lives in balance. I've worked at other companies and consider myself lucky to be a part of this organization

Cons

The company is persnickety about its products and it also doesn't settle when it comes to hiring. It is a challenge to gain employment here and turn-over is very low. Once in the door, the culture makes a career enjoyable. So the hiring opportunities are limited.
