Pros

Set schedule, full time hours available and given, you get to see a lot of cool things that are donated; employee discount is 50% on the bulk of the product, flexible dress code, opportunity for bonus when sales goals are reached, many different positions to learn.

Cons

Daily contact with filthy, wet, sticky, stained, crusty, and damaged items, expectations for output are too high, leading to excessive pulling of merchandise; there is hardly any compassion for the wellbeing of employees, you WILL have your earned vacation hours stolen from you IF you take your vacation within the last 30 days of your employment with Savers; the production room is often poorly ventilated, poorly heated in winter and similar to a sauna in the summer. There is no LP (loss prevention) and shoplifting is rampant. Wages are very low for the ridiculous workload.

Don't work here

Pros

Great discount, a few good coworkers...but that's pretty much it. Everything else is bad, and those two things don't make the job worth it.

Cons

Literally everything. Crazy customers, managers who: complain about everything, gossip about employees, understaff shifts, "lose" time off requests, underschedule so an employee won't make a bonus... I asked to close less bc i was closing every night even though i had open availablilty, and then i was yelled at and put on the schedule to close every night out of spite....not to mention gross bathrooms and customers who truly act like savages. I can't express how many times we cleaned up excrement or puke from the store/bathroom floor. Working here is BAD. I don't care how desperate you are, DO NOT WORK HERE!!! it didn't seem bad at first but then it really took a toll on me. I worked for 2 years and never got a raise!! My friend asked for a raise and literally got laughed at. Find another job nearby. Working here is not worth it.

Pros

they will hire you on the spot RUN

Cons

So many ....RUN!!!! minimum wage, treat employees like slaves , in fact it had become known as "slavers" to many of us employees. It's nice to shop at but a whole new world on the inside. Cameras are meant for the workers and if you have to use the bathroom too many times you had better be prepared for a walk to the office! If you are considering working at Savers in Draper UT you may want to put your valuable time into a place that treats their employees like someone who matters!
