      Pros

      The discount is pretty useful but then again the prices in many departments are always climbing and despite what the PR people say VV is always pressuring team members to find ways to price things higher, often just throwing out items that are harder get high dollar for rather than offering a reasonable selection at a variety of prices. Then inevitably all the other crap is thrown out as overpriced items are ignored by thrifty shoppers and the shelves are overcrowded for weeks on end with overpriced dusty junk

      Cons

      You will be punished even for joking about anything that could be construed as a criticism of management They claim they reserve the right to make you stay past 9:30 pm regardless of the fact you were scheduled for a 1:00-9:30 shift and I shut you not joking about this is why they fired me Management are never satisfied No room for growth or recognition Compensation does not even come close to scaling with inflation and the little bonuses and gifts they give out for exemplary performance had, by the time I left, been relegated to Halloween size bags of chips and insulting crap like that.
