Pros

I joined Savers this past spring. In the few months I have been here, I have seen the family-style culture them provide career path opportunities for Team Members, offer competitive salaries, and an excellent benefits package. Candidly, I have had unlimited opportunities to work with some of the best people I have ever worked with in my career.

Cons

A few of the points that some people don’t know about Savers: Savers is a 60+ year old company. We keep more than 650 million pounds of used goods from landfills each year. We help more than 150 nonprofit organizations by paying them for donated goods (1.5 billion paid out over the past decade) supporting vital community programs and services. We have over 340 locations and have 20,000 employees in the United States, Canada and Australia. Savers is a great company to work for and I enjoy being here.

I appreciate your taking the time to review our company. Your thoughts on "No advancement, … poor communication, poor management" have been and are being addressed currently. We have just gone through a small re-organization to better align teams internally and empowered them to work more seamlessly with each other and our customers – internal and external. Savers has promoted several people and re-vitalized our communication structure in the last few months. Our management teams are at the vanguard of those changes, we are certainly better here than we were a few months ago. Personally, I don't see a "good old boy club mentality" here but I respect your perspective. I'd be happy to discuss this with you. Feel free to stop by and chat with me. - John

Hello Corporate IT Recruiter!

Pros

..."Have to brought that...." Don't quite understand? What are you saying, Corporate IT Recruiter?

Cons

It is interesting that you did not address the gossip/unprofessionalism or unhealthy office culture in your response. Not only have I seen it but, now have experienced it by your subtle reply to my honest review of Savers. It is not a secret that Savers culture needs a attitude adjustment...Turnovers? Mainstream perks - which are other "Thrift Store" retail competitors standards... benefits, salaries, promises of bonuses, retirement, medical, PTO, sick leave. Should I continue?

We just had an "All Hands" with our COO, a Director of HR, and a Manager of HR present. Did you take that opporortunity to address your concerns? Honestly, I would be delighted to speak with you about your concerns at Savers. Perhaps if we worked together on them, we can create a positive change. My name is John and I am the Corporate IT Recruiter.
