Pros

Friendly people, Clean location, Flexible hours

Cons

Value Village used to have a very extensive, and unrealistic interviewing/hiring process. They have since updated it and made some changes. It’s a bit easier to apply now, however, I had an unpleasant onboarding experience. I was interviewed on a Friday, offered a position the following Monday, and scheduled for my first shift. I was later called by one of the managers because she was having issues entering my information into their system. Instead of talking to HR, head office, or another manager, she called me. I tried my best to help, give suggestions, but ultimately, what can I do from afar about this? I was told I’d get a phone call the next day. 5 days later, nothing. I heard nothing even on the day I was due to begin. I gave one star because this is a very clean, organized location, however, the staff is obviously incapable of solving problems or even communicating with their new hires. Disappointed.
