Pros

I met a lot of great people I am still friends with to this day.

Cons

DM ego. Always asked if I wanted his job. I did not. He didn’t value or highlight those who work for him. He wants all the credit. Low level manager.

Pros

Would not recommend this company unless you are a workaholic, cutthroat, and brown-noser. They do however hire people that are underqualified so they can pay them less so it’s not a terrible way to get quick experience and move on. You will get a lot of experience fast.

Cons

This job was not too bad as a contractor (hourly) for 6 months, but when I got converted to an employee (salary) they lowered my pay and increased hours by a ton. I would often have to work 50-60 hours a week especially if I was on call for one week a month. I was also on secondary call once a month. Almost every time I was on call I basically had to work a full Saturday and half a Sunday so I was basically working a straight 12 days with no type of compensation The work / life balance was terrible. You're basically always on call and have to be available at any time. Sometimes we had to work on vacation days off. We had way too many meetings to discuss why we were not getting more done and we had to put a lot of effort into visibility of what we were doing which just put us more behind. There was a heavy amount of micromanaging. Savers is big on point of the finger / blame culture. CYA was big and the team would often get blamed for something because someone complained. Management would harshly criticize us without any evidence for this and we were constantly defending ourselves for stuff that was not our fault or true. We often discussed this, but management was terrible at listening to us and would not make any changes based on how we could improve. No matter how much effort you would put in they would be unhappy with us not getting more done. It was difficult to balance tickets and projects. They constantly threatened our bonus if we did not get more done.
