Pros

A flat organization where you don't have to worry about people back-stabbing you. There is an open door policy with upper management. You are never just a number like most big companies. This is not a body shop, Savvee is a place for highly skilled consultants that have a lot of face time with the customers. There is a lot of knowledge-sharing across the different contracts through Centers Of Excellence (COEs). New employees are assigned a mentor when they come on board and receive internal training and shadow the mentor on projects until they get their feet wet. Although Savvee is a small business they offer big business benefits. The 401K, health, dental, FSA, education reimbursement, etc are all top notch. I was shocked when I learned about the benefits offered from a small business. This is a great place to work long-term and grow within the company. Most leadership positions are promotions from within. This is not a place to work if you are someone that jumps around from company to company looking for the next best thing. This is a company to work for if you're looking for stability and a place to grow.

Cons

Need to invest more into a training program

Pros

- Strong compensation and benefits considering size/resources of company - Personable and smart coworkers - Very flexible on work/life balance - Depending on your ability to work your way into the 'inner circle,' good opportunity to work along side CEO and provide input to business operations and decisions - No additional work requirements beyond staying billable and supporting a client. - Relatively flat structure, however very difficult to get management's support or buy-in.

Cons

- No discussion or planning of personal career development - Difficult to get outside training approved through upper management unless it is for PMP certification - Lack ability to staff open positions in a timely manner, often resulting in workload strain on other team members - Tendencies of favoritism when it comes to both work related decisions (salary increases, promotions) and none work related activities (sporting events tickets, active pursuits) - Terrible communication from front office management regarding both good and bad business impacts - For such a small company, no real unity among employees and/or contracts
