Promising product, frustrating reality

Pros

Free lunch is provided daily, and dinner is available if you stay late. For some, that will feel like a perk. For others, it can feel tied to a culture where long hours are expected and staying late becomes normalized.

Cons

The company has grown quickly, but the internal structure and employee experience have not kept pace. Some teams are built out and supported, while others feel extremely lean, reactive, and under resourced, which creates a very uneven experience depending on where you sit. The New York office is now expected to be in office four days a week, with Wednesday as the only day away from the office. For longer tenured employees who joined under a more flexible hybrid setup, that shift has been a major downside. It makes personal scheduling and travel more difficult and reflects a broader move away from flexibility without much consideration for the people already here. Benefits are not especially competitive, compensation is average, and many of the same growing pains continue without meaningful improvement. There are also broader issues around communication, consistency, professionalism, and the overall employee experience. At times, internal processes and support structures do not provide the level of clarity and consistency employees need. It is also worth keeping in mind that some reviews may reflect very early impressions rather than the perspective of employees who have been here longer.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review, I'm so sorry to hear your experience has not been great. The transition to more in office time was really intended to drive more collaboration - totally hear the feedback and respect that it may not be the right set up for everyone. Would love to dig into some of the other areas you mention so we can continue to improve the experience here. Please send me a note, I would love to chat. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review, Rasika

Pros

Friendly, welcoming team with a lot of domain knowledge and willingness to help new hires ramp up. Company is growing quickly and clearly has strong product-market fit, which makes the work feel impactful. Solid perks for a startup, including free lunch on in-office days and fun monthly social events.

Cons

Requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, which may not suit everyone. As with many fast-growing startups, things can occasionally feel chaotic or disorganized as the company scales.

Pros

Everyone at Savvy has been so welcoming and genuinely friendly. The culture is great - people work hard, but there’s still a real respect for work-life balance and emphasis on avoiding burnout which seems very hard to find these days. Leadership actually feels grounded - you meet all the team leads during onboarding. The CEO is super involved and clearly cares about the company and the people in it. He’s got a great vision too, and you can tell it’s pushing the industry in the right direction. The demographic is also very diverse. Loving it so far!

Cons

The company is growing quickly, so most training ends up being hands-on and learn-as-you-go. It can be a bit overwhelming, but it does help you ramp up fast. There’s still a big need for more structured SOPs.
