Pros

I've been with the company for several years, and I love what it stands for. the president of the co. loves to read and believes in what reading can do to improve the lives of kids. I am a hard worker, and I have been rewarded for my work here. If you put in the work, you will be rewarded. But don't expect to come in and do nothing. This is a very lean company, and every employee contributes. Salary and benefits are competitive. Very mission-driven company.

Cons

The company is very lean, so be prepared to work, and if you want to advance, you have to learn a new skill. You don't just get promoted for showing up every day or based on seniority. Things change frequently, and there's always a lot to learn that's new.

Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, on-the-job training. Also Scholastic has a solid reputation in K-12 education which makes it fairly easy to get to customers.

Cons

Communication by management can vary depending on the situation. Also, supervisors can sometimes be disrespectful of employees and act in an unprofessional manner.
