Pros

Most of the office staff are gone during 2nd shift

Cons

They won't get rid of people who don't work. They pay new hires the same as people training them

Pros

Work life balance can be good if you're not on a tight deadline Pay is on the border of being competitive, but not quite there yet

Cons

Absolutely no career growth. Good luck getting a promotion, you'll be told you're too ambitious No learning opportunities - the interesting projects are pushed offshore to cut costs while the full time engineers maintain piles of garbage Hostile work environment Petty, vindictive office politics Extremely high turnover of long-term engineers, the only plan to replace them is fresh college hires No recognition or care for employees who stick their necks out for the company
