Pros

I mostly enjoyed my time at Scientific Games. The company has a lot of talented and hardworking people, and the overall work environment was supportive and engaging. I appreciated the opportunities to learn and grow, and the projects were often interesting and challenging.

Cons

That said, one of the biggest frustrations was dealing with management. It often felt like issues or concerns were brought up but never really resolved, which left employees feeling a bit stuck or unheard. Communication from leadership could definitely be clearer and more proactive.

Pros

The company used to be really good culturally, not anymore. Pay is good. Manageable work life balance

Cons

Of late, the company has become very toxic. There is a lot of politics in play. You have to be 'liked' by your manager, else even if you are a high performing individual they are playing unnecessary dirty games. There was a recent change in leadership and since then there is a lot of bootlicking to be in good books with the new leader. Those who don't are being targeted.

Pros

Coworkers were mostly friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

SG was a great place when I first started. Over the past few years the changes have been awful. They were bought by a Private Equity company, brought in new C Suite employees, and has had multiple rounds of layoffs. Entire departments, or large majority of departments outsourced to India. If you’re looking for job security stay away.
