Pros

Desirable salary. Identify talent and transferrable skills when recruiting. A good variation of works. Promote work life balance. Great overtime opportunities. Good benefits, share plans, health insurance etc. A lot of staff so really helpful and HR responsive etc. Lots of progression opportunities

Cons

Do not pay professional membership fees (CIOB, ICE etc). A lot of overseas workers with a different attitude to work - not as motivated to deliver projects on time and in budget. If you get an internal promotion you only get a 5% pay increase. The paybands overlap with paybands either side, so you can get someone a payband below making more money than their manager.

Pros

Large corporate with stability. Opportunity for growth with varied opportunity.

Cons

Although selections are meant to be based on performance, most of the internal promotions are decided before the interview.
