Pros

Flexible scheduling, decent pay for seasonal, fast paced

Cons

Higher management (DM and higher) pretty much think and treat the merchandisers like garbage. No acknowledgement or thank you's when merchandisers are the ones doing the labor and selling in of extra space. Never hear a "thank you" or "good job". The godlike managers are more worried about their coffees and what's for lunch. No career opportunity if you a merchandiser. Good 401k, but no stock options or health insurance.

Golden handcuffs

Pros

The pay, benefits, and time off. Literally nothing else

Cons

This is the worst culture I’ve ever been a part of. I’ve never worked with less passionate people in my life. Nobody cares about their job or what they’re doing, and they certainly don’t care about you. It’s viewed as simply a job—you come in, sit at your cube, wait until it’s 5, and then leave. People say it’s fast paced but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Leadership has an inability to make decisions because they’re afraid of doing the wrong thing, so instead they drag their feet for months, hoping the problem will go away on its own. My golden handcuffs are on very tightly.

Pros

In my area, the pay was $14 bucks an hour. The pay ranges contingent on your SM. It's part time seasonal, so expect to work briefly throughout the year. It's a great side job or college job. Learn a lot about merchandising. Work out, bringing roundup, fertilizers etc out of top stock. Great fellow associates. Windshield time. Great manager.

Cons

Cleaning up bags, that more than likely have feces on them. You will be handling fertilizer on a daily basis, most of the time you'll have multiple broken bags on a pallet. Associates vary so much at the store, you will have select locations that are superb to work with. While others are a pain. Tobacco free company as of this year. So cool. Tough time finding new employees who are worth their salt, as a result you have new employees who don't work well. Tracked by your work phone, that never works right. The application they have you download has so many bugs, it's unreal. Feel like you need to know someone personally for advancement.
