      60+ hour weeks, little respect for employees

      Pros

      Mediocre paycheck, mediocre benefits, mediocre commissions for the trouble. Not a bad job for building experience in a "high-pressure" role. Co-workers are actually a lot of fun,

      Cons

      60+ hour work week, no life, high pressure scripts, two months of mandatory unemployment every year, Chinese overtime (paid at about $5 an hour, not even sure how this is legal but apparently it is). Jump ship when you can, if you can sell here you can make twice as much somewhere else.

      Work alone with little supervision from a manager from Scott's .the money is decent money, work at varied times if you need too

      Cons

      They go through managers yearly. They generally hire people straight out of college that have zero experience . You are not so much managed by Scott's as you are by the Home Depot managers. Its a joke !

      Pros

      Amazing headquarters and corporate culture is one of the best I have seen. Very relaxed and comfortable. The people are all very nice, and the executives seem to interact with all the employees on a regular basis. Great intern program. Since it is a lawn company, Jim likes to let the employees out early on Fridays during the summer if it is a nice day. All the execs held luncheons for the interns throughout the program and really took the time to answer questions about what they do, how they got to where they are, and what they think the interns could do to improve their career search.

      Cons

      The headquarters is located in Marysville, Ohio which is in the middle of nowhere.
