      Pros

      The Scotts Company is a very professional place to work. Along with gaining knowledge about their products, they teach you how to professionally provide assistance to a customer.

      Cons

      As a merchandise counselor it was tough with all the traveling between stores. They do compensate for mileage, however gas is still very expensive and I am not quite sure if the compensation was enough.

      Willingness by others to accepy employees to do poor work. Difficulty in getting rid of unproductive employees.

      Great way to learn sales and merchandising

      Pros

      Its a great place to start learning the ropes. As a Seasonal merchandiser you have the ability to be creative in your stores as well build strong relationships. If you see an open spot in the store, you can personally talk to the managers and sell in a new display. I really learned a lot during my time there and glad to have worked there.

      Cons

      Seasonal position Can be dirty work Outside in bad weather at times Hours can be restricted according to budget Layoffs come faster in some areas
