Pros

Working with the Hawkeye Area Council provided me with the opportunity to work with youth, ensuring they have a good time through education, outdoor skills, and personal management. * Youth activity * Flexible hours * Funding provided for most activities * The people I worked with actually cared about progress!

Cons

I felt as if much of the work I did was treated as volunteer work, often being looked over in favor of work done by others at the company. Although the hours were flexible, they often expected more out of you than you were able to give, but I understand that they have their limits on what they can pay for/afford. * Pay wasn't amazing * Expected a lot of hours

Pros

Working with the boys can be amazing or incredibly challenging. The attitude of the boys depends on the school and grade. When they are easy to work with, the boys are fun to work with and they can impress you.

Cons

At some schools the boys are a bit to handle. It's hard to get their attention and they can be outright disrespectful. You have to drive a lot.
