Pros

Working with youth and great volunteers who seem dedicated.

Cons

Long hours and no guidence, expectations and goals are way to high. My scout executive told me at first that i was spending too much time at the office, then when he started only seeing me there a few times he stated in my termination letter that I was not in the office enough. no training the training received at national is generic and doesnt take into account the demographics of each specific council. Begging people for money is not something most people are comfortable with. Asking single mothers for money because of all the program does for their son isn't the right way.
