Pros

Scribe America do offer a great exposure if you are entry level, inexperienced, and would like to pursue a medical field. It will give you a lot of input and expectations what to expect when you finally landed your license. -some of the trainers are really good.

Cons

- accelerated training which comes to a disadvantage if you are not versed enough with electronic medical charts and medical terminologies. - trainers and lead scribes assumed that nobody knows medical terminologies. It is wrong. Do not assume your fellow is the same level as you. Be professional. -unreasonable expectations. How can you perform your training when it comes to navigating the system, when your trainer constantly talk by your ear, telling you what to do. -after onboarding, classroom training, and in person training, you are still subject to termination. -do not believe when the trainer says, "good job", because they will say otherwise on the review. -rate is low for the demand of the job.

Thank you for leaving us this review. This is why being a medical scribe is such a great experience as you really do get to see firsthand how medicine functions, which is something you really can’t get from other jobs or volunteer work. While having some prior medical experience can be very helpful, at ScribeAmerica we are very proud to offer such in-depth classroom training with ScribeU and floor training program to help prepare all our employees to work as a scribe. We do our best to train our scribes to become solo, and try to train for every scenario. For any topics you may have, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to us at HR@scribeamerica.com so that we can discuss.
