Pros

I enjoyed learning the medical terminology

Cons

Low pay, disrespectful doctors. I was working with a doctor for a couple months when he decided to cuss me out for missing a minor detail, instead of acting professionally and explaining the issue. When I told the chief scribe about this, they agreed for me to be switched to a different position but went MONTHS not hearing from them. This included lack of responses to my follow up emails and reaching out for word on when I can continue my income. I enjoyed the experience but the beyond low mediocre pay and disrespect ruins any bit of positive experience one could have.

Pros

Specifically at the OC locations, the doctors are nice and extremely knowledgeable. They will educate you, sometimes without even being prompted. You'll learn a lot of medical terminology, some pharmacology knowledge, and the process of medical decision making.

Cons

At multiple locations within this company, I would say the number one problem is communication. There is a total lack of communication and accountability. Their site managers are just as young as those they supervise and they only make $2 more so I understand why they are not very good at their jobs. If you work here then you should expect to be overworked, understaffed, and undervalued.

Pros

Great exposure to medical field but your experience largely varies based on what site you're placed at and who your managers are

Cons

Company takes advantage of students/recent grads who are looking to gain clinical experience prior to pre-health professional schools. Awful pay. Disorganized. Everyone works remote, and thus virtually no company culture
