I was looking for a decent part-time job in a town that doesn't have much, and thought this job would suffice. I found myself working with a bunch of pre-med students who I later found out were getting college credits to scribe and perhaps this is how they keep employees. Expecting anyone besides those aspiring to the medical field to keep this job at the low pay they offer is ludicrous. Nobody makes a living wage, and the responsibilities of a scribe are great. Most of the providers never review the charts so they are submitted as is. Notes about previous conditions, prescribed drugs, disposition, etc... are all up to the scribe. When you consider that you can make the same money selling gum and candy at a convenience store, the compensation provided by ScribeAmerica becomes shameful.
