Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We appreciate hearing you enjoyed working with the providers at your facility, and are happy to have such great partnerships where our scribes feel welcomed. We are very happy to see that you took the opportunity to network and gain exposure for yourself in your medical facility. We feel that this is the pinnacle opportunity for our employees to really grow and prepare themselves when they go to Medical School/PA School/etc. At ScribeAmerica we are very proud to have such in-depth classroom training with ScribeU and floor training program and are very happy to hear that you were able to get a good learning experience in medical terminology and overall had a good experience learning with ScribeAmerica.

Thanks for taking the time to review. We appreciate hearing you enjoyed working with the providers at your facility, and are happy to have such great partnerships where our scribes feel welcomed. This is why being a medical scribe is such a great experience as you really do get to see firsthand how medicine functions, which is something you really can’t get from other jobs or volunteer work. We truly value that this is a great opportunity for those looking to further education by going to Medical School/PA School/etc. We are proud of the fact that we are the industry leader and strive to maintain competitive pay in every market.

Pros

You can work from home. EHR/EMR experience.

Cons

Pay is so low for how much the company gets paid and could pay more. Management is not nice or helpful unless it benefits them in some way. They change your schedule often without making sure it works for you. Inconsistent hours. If you want full time it won't happen. My original manager helped me cheat through the final exam. Some might say thats a PRO not a CON but its a red flag. They dont care if youre able to pass it on your own or not they just need people to scribe whether or not they're fit for the position. When working for two different sites they won't tell you the pay difference (I've asked three times with no answer) Some doctors are rude and talk badly about patients and are very unprofessional. If they don't like how you word things even if means the same thing they'll rewrite your entire work without giving feedback and then will complain to your manager/supervisor about your performance. They literally will sit in and watch you scribe for the day. Makes you feel like you've been bad as a child and now your parent has to come to school with you all day to make sure you behave. Their scheduling app is confusing. If you wanted to say available from 8-5 if you put that as unavailable. They use two different scheduling platforms to make it more confusing. Honestly don't waste your time because they don't appreciate their scribes and take advantage of them. They're rude and confusing. They get mad when you ask questions to understand. They lie about supposed benefits you can get if you are fulltime. There are no benefits!! The trainors are usually really nice BUT they havent even worked with that doctor yet and will not be able to tell you their preferences in charting. When I was training for the first time the trainor had a question and went to ask the doctor and got completely ignored! It was awkward and made me more anxious and uneasy about trying to ask questions on my own which she occasionally still ignores!
