Great entry to medicin

Pros

Opportunity to work with providers; flexible hours; management experience.

Cons

Poor pay without the ability to negotiate. When I started it felt like it was directed as a win-win; staff experience with provider support. Towards the end of my time there it increasingly felt like working for a "Staffing agency."

Thank you for leaving us this review. This is why being a medical scribe is such a great experience as you really do get to see firsthand how medicine functions, which is something you really can’t get from other jobs or volunteer work. We truly value that this is a great opportunity for those looking to further education by going to Medical School/PA School/etc. We are proud of the fact that we are the industry leader and strive to maintain competitive pay in every market. I hope you were also able to take advantage of some of ScribeAmerica’s other amazing benefits including employee discounts on things like computers, Kaplan prep courses, and even on Lyft.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. At ScribeAmerica we are very proud to have such in-depth classroom training with ScribeU and floor training program. While this may take some time to complete your training, we really do try our best to train our scribes to become solo and be prepared to handle every scenario. We truly value that this is a great opportunity for those looking to further education by going to Medical School/PA School/etc. We hope that your time with us has helped prepare you for your next journey in life.

Medical Scribe

Pros

The role itself has the potential to be a good opportunity for individuals interested in gaining clinical exposure and experience working with local physicians.

Cons

In my experience, the interview and onboarding process lacked consistency and professionalism. After completing required certifications and paid training and becoming eligible for placement, there was a significant delay before a start date was provided. Communication between management and HR was inconsistent, and follow-up was often unclear. As a result, I was never formally placed into a position. Pay is also representative of minimum wage not the role itself.
