Pros
I loved the people I worked with and definitely learned a lot. Great workplace environment at Piedmont Athens with Scribe America. The training with ScribeAmerica was super helpful too. The overall training process is a steep learning curve, but they provide ample resources to succeed. People and real-world healthcare experience is a huge plus. Loved working directly with doctors and getting to hear their thought process and how to tackle different health challenges in patients.
Cons
Low pay. This is not at all a job you do for the money. It asks a lot of you and pays very little. If you are looking for an easy job with high pay, this is not it. If you are looking to be payed to shadow doctors, then this may be for you. There are high expectations of you and there are other, higher paying ways, to get healthcare experience. I loved my time with ScribeAmerica, but ultimately chose to leave because it simply does not pay enough. Will miss it though!
