Pros

Experience, exposure, education opportunities

Cons

Hypocrisy, favoritism and bias. Leads are not held to the same standards that average employees seem to be. I witnessed lead get away with things that I got write ups for and ultimately let go for. If you're not in the clique, good luck.

Pros

You MIGHT learn a few cool things during training for telescribing, but you will most likely never use any of the training on the job.

Cons

This call-center type office is horrible. This is not a good job at all and you will NOT learn anything meaningful that you couldn't have just learned yourself. The turnover rate is stupid high because of how pathetic this job is. You are treated like an animal on a farm. They do not care about you whatsoever and they will work you down to the bone until you can't give anymore. There is a reason why they spend so much on advertising to fill these positions. The random office cubicles you will sit at are gross and you won't really have anyone that you will work with. Sometimes it is hard to find an open computer due to the constant amount of new people they have to train and you could end up being late for your scheduled VoIP call to help the Nurses or whoever. There are much better opportunities out there that will teach you more, pay you better, and treat you better while still being an entry-level "medical" position like this one. This job is a complete waste of time and a huge burden of stress if you are looking for a job that will teach you about the medical field. In-person scribing is much better since you will experience more, but I will definitely avoid this company for that position as well. There are many doctors and private practices that will hire you to help them in person and give you the training necessary to succeed. This job is the most meaningless and soul-crushing job you can think of. This company is built around heavy exploitation of the employees. Avoid large companies like this and focus on smaller, more personalized positions. I feel sorry for the employees that have invested themselves into this company to the point of burnout and have fallen for the sunk-costs trap.
