Thanks for taking the time to review. We are very happy to hear you enjoy the flexibility that being a medical scribe can offer! We do like to promote from within and a large portion of our higher level management/corporate roles/etc all started out as scribes. If you ever have an interest in learning more about other roles that would be available to you, or ways to prepare to apply to those types of roles, please feel free to reach out to tasupport@scribeamerica.com and we would be happy to talk with you further.

Great Job, Poor Pay

Pros

They offer free training which is very comprehensive! The experience is unmatched if you want to work in the healthcare industry. It’s great for networking, and the knowledge gained from working directly with the providers is invaluable. It’s an enjoyable and interesting job overall if you’re interested in the specialty you’re assigned to. Assignments are very flexible and they are willing to work with you to find a clinic that is compatible with your needs.

Cons

The pay considering the workload and amount of skill required is very low. There isn’t much room for a pay increase outside of receiving promotions and taking on an even more dense workload. Training is difficult, and new scribes often feel unprepared. The higher administration likes to micromanage and seems out of touch with the scribes and lower management. Hours are often variable since they depend on the provider’s schedule.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We truly value that this is a great opportunity for those looking to further education by going to Medical School/PA School/etc. We work very hard to maintain our place as the industry leader and strive to always be competitive in every market. I hope you are also taking advantage of some of ScribeAmerica’s other amazing benefits including employee discounts on things like computers, Kaplan prep courses, and even on Lyft.
