Pros

Very hands on learning experience, small company with executives who are approachable, good for a first engineering job out of college, interesting projects

Cons

Below average pay, with a very small bonus and raises that were under inflation rate. I received no training on good practice of working with shipping containers. The person who trained me was very hard to work with, then abruptly went on medical leave so I had to figure out things I was never trained for. I was sexually harassed the entire 3 years. When I submitted a complaint about one of the top executives, the company did nothing besides remind us not to post about it on social media (there was not social media policy, but there was a sexual harassment policy). They play favorites and will do everything to protect those favorites.

Pros

Work environment provides many trades and mechanical disciplines to learn.

Cons

Raises may as well be non-existant. Salary employees have no pto system. Benefits become more expensive and cover less each year. Company owners make radical and expensive decisions on a whim in spite of advice from qualified consultants. Nepotism and low pay are a huge problem and force most of the good workers out. I have witnessed and reported sexual harassment and saw no consequences come to the employee due to favoritism.
