      Pros

      Good people to work with. I respect the high level management, when times got tough, they took cuts like the rest of us and were the last to re-instate normal pay for themselves.

      Cons

      Hard to get promotions past the Senior Engineer level. Variation in how groups are structure, some you are the expert in one part of the design and focus only on that part, but others you have flexibility to move around.

      Pros

      Seagate is a stable company with a large, consistent revenue flow from their hard drive business. This creates great peace of mind - no worries that the company will suddenly go out of business. The stock price has been on a generally positive trend for years.

      Cons

      The SSD side of the company is a mess. The institutional agility required to compete in that market is sorely lacking.
