      Good place to learn, not great for growth.

      Pros

      Competent immediate first level management. Generally there is less politics and a more professional culture among engineers, although there are exceptions to the rule. Ideal for innovating new ideas, professional growth. Tons of different products and customers to choose from. Vertically integrated organization with opportunity for interaction with various engineering functions.

      Cons

      1. Some among middle management, particularly those who have gotten too big too fast get cocky and very presumptuous. 2. Promotions are arbitrary, raises are rare.

      Interesting enjoyable satisfying job but salary seem to be always lagging behind market.

      Pros

      Family like. Understanding bosses. Work is challenging. Minimum politics. Good place to build your engineering and management skills and it is extremely easy to find another job as the skills acquired are well sought after.

      Cons

      Promotions are becoming rare and yearly increments are always below national average. Always have trouble keeping the good staffs. No hospitalization benefits, need to buy your own insurance. Subsidy given by company is very low and you need to top up with own cash to buy decent insurance coverage.

      Pros

      Some good folks who really want to make a difference, but the factory and engineering leadership have disabled future growth. Pays well but not enough to keep good talent.

      Cons

      Factory and engineering led to the point of disfunction. No understanding of the market, no future strategy and they aren't running it like a business. Could be a great place if they drove change with more customer and marketing leadership.
