Pros

I’ve worked for quite a few companies, and Seamless has hands down been the best place to work thus far. Work/life balance is SUPER important to leaders here. I’m never made to feel guilty for taking a break or taking time off. Everyone who works here is amazing, and is passionate about what they do. I genuinely enjoy logging on every day and doing my job because I get to work with amazing people that all have the same goals as me - to make Seamless the best company to work for. Leaders are eager for feedback from employees - they send out surveys regularly to gauge overall happiness and see where there’s opportunities for improvement. If you want to work at a place where your voice matters, then Seamless is for you!

Cons

Working remote is amazing, but I do wish there were more opportunities to meet with colleagues that live local to me.

You are right! Work/life balance is a priority at Seamless.AI, which is why we are fully remote! We also offer benefits such as PTO, company-paid holidays, Summer Fridays, and we encourage mental health days to ensure our employees take time throughout the year to focus on themselves. Thank you for your detailed feedback. Like you mentioned, leadership is always eager for employee feedback, as it's what drives the future direction of the company. Your voice matters, and we're lucky to have you on the team!

Pros

Seamless is a great place to work. Is it perfect? No, but rarely will you find a fast paced tech startup that doesn't go through growing pains here and there. The pros (working from home, great product, caring leadership, talented co-workers, ability to make real money) far outweigh the cons in the long run. Unfortunately, when you read negative reviews like the ones you can see here, they tend to stand out as truth. You will notice that most of the negative reviews are from employees who are no longer with the company and there is a reason for that. The real truth couldn't be further from most of these 1 and 2 star reviews. Is Seamless the place for everyone? No it is not. But for the right person, it's the perfect opportunity to make money and grow your career. It takes a certain type of individual to be successful here. If you are someone that wants to come in and hide in the corner and expect success to come to you, this is not your place. If you are hungry to learn, are engaged daily, are coachable, are constantly seeking out advice from co-workers and top performers, and are willing to push yourself outside of your comfort zone to grow your craft, this is the place for you. As far as it goes with quotas and being let go for hot hitting them...being an SDR is a numbers driven game. It's certainly not anything personal, but in sales, there is no way around it. We all wish it was sunshine and roses and hitting a number didn't matter, but that's just not realistic for a sales gig. If you aren't consistently able to meet your quota then a sales role could possibly not be for you. If you believe you have what it takes to consistently hit your numbers, this is for you. Again, SDRs are well aware of where they stand on a daily basis, have all the tools they need, and have channels they can use at anytime to express concerns and seek out extra help. We even have training managers basically on standby for additional call coaching and support. Lastly, yes, we are in Zoom rooms all day. Many people hear "remote workplace" and assume there won't be any type of accountability. You would never walk into an office setting, go to your office, close the door and shut your lights off, and then expect to get better at your job. Much like in person, we expect our reps to be engaged with each other, collaborating and learning from each other on a daily basis. No, management isn't tracking how many times you get up from your desk or making you ask them to use the restroom. Those are just lies. Overall, working at Seamless has been the best decision I've ever made. Again, it's not perfect, but I feel valued and able to express my concerns on a daily basis.

Cons

I would personally appreciate a few additional paid holidays (Black Friday for one) Bereavement time is well below most of the places I've worked before. 2 days for immediate family isn't nearly enough.

Thank you for taking the time to give such a thoughtful and detailed review. It is amazing to read about your dedication and commitment to Seamless.AI. We are incredibly lucky to have you on this team, advocating for our employee population. You are spot on about the hungry, driven, and motivated individuals that we see really excel in SDR roles - they are crushing it! We believe our onboarding and training team that you mentioned are key pillars in getting any teammate set up for success, so thank you for recognizing that group who gives so much to our organization! We also appreciate the constructive feedback - it's how we grow. As we head into the new year and review our benefit offerings, we will certainly take this feedback into consideration.
