Pros
I came to Securian several years ago from a much bigger corporate environment and it is so refreshing to work for a company that really does care about its employees. If you're willing to take on challenges and try new things, its a great place to work. If you want a lot of routine with little change, this is not the place. People are wonderful and caring. Huge focus on the community and Corporate Social Responsibility. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion actions continue to be a top priority even though the financial industry overall has a long way to go from the white male days.
Cons
Even though Securian tries, they are about 10-15 years behind on using data and analytics, process documentation and automation. The plus side of this - if you're willing to help make change for the better - it's a great place to be!
