Pros

The people, friends I have made.

Cons

I used to think that I would retire from here and there was that feeling of job security, well the loyalty was one sided and they sold my entire division. 20 some years of employment and lost my defined Benefit, at least the growth another 20 years would have done. The pay was a joke so I'm finding out though I had a clue. Impossible to promote if you aren't a favorite to management. Young or older employees are basically encourage to stab each other in the back and pitted against each other by treating "lower level" employees like children and allowing other higher level employees to do the same. This creates a toxic work environment. Hiring supervisors with no relatable experience in the field. And many more cons but another is the return to office policy forcing 2 to 3 times a week while they continue to hire out of state higher ups...??? Not hypocrisy at all and so "in your face" to everyone else.

Pros

Pension (if you stay atleast 5 years). People care about each other. Occasionally there is Work life balance

Cons

Pay is lower and they use benefits as the excuse like other companies dont also have benefits. They use to promote job security for employees but have gone through 3 versions of layoff over the last few years, losing a lot of good employees and trying to replace them with hit or miss contractors. Requiring 3 days in the office while they off shore work and hire remote contracts so you'll still be stuck on a teams call in an open collaboration space with other people on teams calls. They've gone through a large acquisition and 2 divestitures that have overworked employees without much of any true recognition. I thought these were one off events but Senior Leadership continues to amaze me at there decisions of putting employees last.

Pros

Good PTO. Still has pension but probably not for long

Cons

Horrible management! The worst! Promotions are based on favoritism. Absolutely not supportive of older workers.
