Pros

Starting pay is alright, unionized job, free uniforms, also fairly easy to get hired, they offer paid training for high profile sites, although pay isn't as high as other companies pay for high profile sites.

Cons

You don't start with full time, always start as a backup and wait for openings for full time positions.

some of my coworker...working for a copany like Securitas well respected in entire world!

securitas bosses should ask themselfs why the company Securitas in Portugal is as it is, losing so many clients and services? you sould ask workers (vigilantes) the reasons and you will see that the answer is only one: those responsible for hiring staff are incompetent and corrupt. Supervisors are "illiterate" and do not understand anything about human resources and human relations. they don´t even let me conclude my studies (future engineer). WHY? they spurn, they treat with contempt their employees. when securitas in sweden realize this it will be too late .. and the most serious is that, despite Securitas say loud and clear that SECURITAS FULFILL THE LAW, in Portugal that is not true, things like not paying overtime hours, subsidy of Lunch, harassment and pressures ... i am ashamed...you sould be too!
