Pros

Sempra is a large company with many different opportunities. They encourage employees to try new things to become more well rounded. The leadership is committed to doing what is right for our customers. The benefits are great too!

Cons

Because it is a large company, it can feel a bit bureaucratic, but that is to be expected in an organization this size.

Pros

An advantage of being based in utilities is that there are no high highs and no low lows. The culture of Sempra is much like our products--steady, reliable, and resilient. The company is financially strong and somewhat risk-averse which makes it attractive to investors who want solid returns without downside risk. The culture is nearly non-existent, which is good--We work hard and go home, to the beach, or elsewhere to love the great things that San Diego has to offer. Overall compensation is very good.

Cons

Slow to change and embrace new concepts. VERY risk-averse. Some key leaders have been in place entirely too long and unlikely to retire anytime soon, which frustrates talented middle managers and directors.
