      Pros

      Well-run. Professional environment. Lots of opportunity unless you work in a public affairs capacity. Brilliant people work there and there are lots of exciting changes in the energy field. If you like a stable environment, lovely office surroundings, predictable roles and expectations, this place is for you.

      Cons

      The same folks will probably always be there. If you want to feel like you are working for a cutting-edge company, this is not the place for you

      Pros

      It's a large, stable company that will be around for a long time and there some really great people that work here. Since the company is so large, there are numerous groups and opportunities to explore, although it is not always easy. The opportunity is there.

      Cons

      Layers and layers of management. It is sometimes difficult to get clear direction or direct approval. They also like to rotate managers so it's a challenge to when it comes to project management continuity. Overall a bureaucratic culture but that is probably not a surprise for a company of this size.

      Pros

      Solid. Interesting work. Not the dull public utility type work you would expect but forefront, top thinking work. Compensation on par. 2-weeks off plus holidays. Depending on your particular manager, time can be flexible.

      Cons

      Getting ahead depends on who you know and timing more than on performance. Variable pay portion tied to sometimes factors outside of your control which is frustrating.
