Pros

The people, amazing product, work at home options, good health benefits, free snacks

Cons

- Cold calling 9-5 - Sales-leads are not properly vetted - Though they've signed up for more information, a good portion of your leads: are unaware of what the product does, do not need the product, aren't qualified to make use of the product or can make business decision using the product, can't afford it, or just wants someone to talk to (this happens alot), or a buddy signed them up to be contacted - There's no clear company goals or strategy to address shareholder's interest - There's no upward mobility in this position - Theres no engineers in the American office, and they barely speak English (they are good people and do try hard to communicate with you) - You do not need a degree for this job - You might get fat working here - It does not matter the department, you're pigeon-holing yourself if accept this job out of college and stay here too long.

Could be great, falls short in the long-term

Pros

Semrush is a great company with a cool culture. It feels like you're working at a long-term startup, but that's starting to change as leadership shifts. - Interesting projects - Great onboarding - Good company values - Freedom and trust upon first day of employment - Good benefits - Passionate employees

Cons

The company is still very Eastern European-minded in its values, and has only recently tried to bring in a global perspective. Communications from your managers (depending on the department) probably will be harsh. There is no tolerance for mistakes, no matter how small. It's a huge failure of leadership. There's management that's openly horrible to their employees and nothing is done about it. - No tolerance for mistakes - Bad management techniques - No support for career advancement. Figure it out - After year 1, your support system vanishes - you're on your own and you can't mess up - Weird cliques where some teams hate other teams for no good reason, and complain about each other instead of collaborate.
