Things took a turn for the worse...

Pros

Excellent team to work with: smart, funny, super pleasant and respectful. Usually lots of in-office perks, such as lunch, snacks, drinks.

Cons

Management was in disarray. Lots of apparent in-fighting, and some really expensive decisions that didn't pan out and wasted everyone's time and money.

Pros

Compensation is competitive. Benefits are solid. Flexible work location/schedule for the engineering team. Intelligent and friendly co-workers all over the world. HQ is very nice and offers free lunch and snacks 5 days a week. Free gym membership on campus. Passionate community. The core product and tools are highly regarded.

Cons

In the process of refocusing on the enterprise, Sencha hastily deployed a pricing model in a way that turned a lot of people off. I believe Sencha will begin landing some larger deals, but revenues will stagnate as the user-base erodes which will put more pressure on employees to do more with less until Sencha is forced to change the pricing model, take additional VC money, or both.
