Pros

Updated office setting Free Parking Some HR people, Buyers, Marketing people, CFO are cool. Ted Balestreri is the owner, not CEO -- very nice You have job security if you're a people pleaser and don't know how to stick up for yourself.

Cons

ADVICE: If you've held any sort of professional job in a different industry, I can't stress this enough -- stay away from Sendik's. They don't value your experience, often seeing it as a threat to "we've always done it this way" and you will be underpaid. COVID: Because grocers were considered essential, they made the entire Home Office staff work from the office 5x a week during the pandemic. Separated barely by 6 feet. All for "optics" -- a word they use often which means... they don't trust you to get your work done at home. Home office is in the middle of nowhere on Milwaukee's far northwest side All male executive team over the age of 60 Micromanagement/belittling from CEO, CMO, CHRO, IT, Buyers Only people who have been forced out have come from other industries. Weird, right? CEO is Mark Kahl now. He works seven days a week and when you place boundaries and say you can't do the same, you are looked at as problematic. CEO has his hand in EVERYTHING - HR, Marketing, Store Activations, Store Level. Maybe take a weekend off and be with your family and trust the employees? If grammar is your thing, prepare to be annoyed at the lack of understanding of there/their/they're, your/you're. And a lack of understanding of general buzzwords that reputable companies use. An eye-rolling 10% discount. Expected in-office 5 days a week with asks for frequent weekend and holiday help. Benefits are LAUGHABLE if you have any preexisting condition.
