Pros

Made great life long friends! Could be a great product. Meat and potatoes are there. (Just a captain-less ship) Received great experience in working for a startup Learned what not to do in business and what sales leaders I do not want to be like

Cons

1- Egomaniac president who is running the company into the ground. Faceless leader. When things were going great, she would lead every company wide all hands letting us know that we will "IPO in 3 years". Once business started to get hard in early 2022, we never saw or heard from here again. Even during the layoffs. The worst type of leader is a faceless leader who can make actions and decisions without facing those effected by those decisions. 2- 2 co-founders, while are awesome, great hearted human beings, are just two tech bros with a great idea who don't know how to run a company. 3- Horrible leadership hiring process. For the last 1.5 years they have run one of these two plays.... Play 1: Hire brilliant, well respected sales leader > Sales leader disagrees with president on path forward > president fires smart and respected sales leader. Play 2: They hire sales leaders with questionable experience > neuter them into being "yes employees" so they don't disagree with the president and can keep their job. 4- Sales team is scapegoat for poor business plan. Current sales leadership will lie, lie, lie, lie to protect themselves from leadership and will proactively throw the sales team and reps under the bus.... even to customers! 5-Layoffs. Layoffs are everywhere and inherently tough for all parties involved. Having said that, it seems like most companies are giving somewhere within the ballpark of 2 months severance. This shows an underlying tone of a business caring for their employees. Sendoso has had 3-4 rounds of layoffs (each time being told this is the last round of layoffs) and are giving severance in the range of 2-5 weeks. You read that right... WEEKS. This continues the theme of Sendoso just trying to stay alive as a business and not actually caring about their employees. Which is fine... just don't be fake about it. 6- immoral sales practices/leadership. They are not customer focused. Things have gotten so bad that they are no longer trying to solve the question of "how can we provide more value to our customer to earn their business", but rather the just get the deal signed and say whatever you need to in order to get it done, mindset. I wonder why retention is tough. 7- repetitive here but.... shady sales leaders. Real shady. Run!!

Pros

Culture was great. SDR Leadership was awesome. Team worked really really hard.

Cons

Company growth came to a grinding halt resulting in layoffs. Team was spread too thin, resulting in burnout after 3 rounds of layoffs in the last 7 months.
