Entrepreneurial sales environment provides a chance to grow your income at a more rapid pace than almost any other industry, assuming you have the soft skills and work ethic to succeed in a performance-based, people-focused job. More rewarding than most sales jobs because of the satisfaction of getting people hired and building long-term professional relationships. Fantastic culture and supportive team environment, especially the Birmingham office—no corporate BS, micromanagement, or backstabbing. Five year outlook is very optimistic!
Cons
Simple (if detailed) process and metrics, but very difficult psychologically since the work depends on being able to accurately read and build trust with strangers (both clients and candidates). Also demanding to master the details of a wide variety of companies, industries, and tech stacks. Must be an extremely resilient person to deal with the constant ups and downs of a dynamic and somewhat unpredictable line of work—not your standard 9-5. Gotta keep the long game in mind or the short game will give you an ulcer!
