Pros

This was my first ever corporate job and it taught me a lot about myself and how to be successful in corporate America. Make note none of this from the company but from the leadership I was under. The managing director I was under was a blessing for my career. Without this person taking me under their wing I would of sunk the first month into this role. Money- there is a whole lot of money to be made in staffing I saw it with my own eyes, some people in this company are making 20k+ a month in commission which was huge motivation. Work life- it’s a pretty good work life balance, it was 2 days at home but they changed it. Now it’s one day at home. In staffing sometimes you have to work extra to get better results.

Cons

Training- absolutely no training in this company and your thrown into the fire. They only train you on how to use the CRM they use. Leadership- leadership acts like they care about you but they do not. They came to our office ask us what we wanted to see change and nothing ever changed, leadership was a big front Pay- salary’s are low, it’s a commission based role. I started at 36,000 and if it wasn’t for my manager having my back I would of never got a raise. (There is a path to promotion that is based of monthly spread) Summary: Staffing is not for the weak minded, it’s a big game that has alot of money into it. You must go in ready to take on failures because there is a lot more then success. I think staffing is a good industry if your with the right company that cares about training and a path to success but this company doesn’t. There are so many staffing companies to work for be careful which one you choose.

Pros

it's recruiting, so if you're making them good money they let you do whatever and you can even talk back to the leaders without repercussion.

Cons

Constant pressure from leaders who don't know what's really going on nor care. All they do is look at KPIs and threaten. Not a lot of empathy or cooperation and terrible turn around with employees. Our office hired and fired 5 people within the same year, each person working 2-3 months, and the ones who worked hard to get through their harsh KPIs and expectations during a recession and terrible economy, they still laid off the entire office, with employees with 2+ years tenure, and only offered 2 weeks of severance. Since they got acquired, they shifted all their focus towards money and who's making them money in the short term, no outlook on long term and no loyalty towards the people that made seneca what it is today over the last few years.
