They provide snacks and bring in lunch periodically.

Cons

If you are a hard worker, you’ll want to stay away from Sensient. You’ll get dumped on and expected to take on more all the time while the favorites skate by. The favorites barely work full time...show up at the crack of 9 am and are out the door early to make up for coming in late. The hard workers have to constantly pick up the slack and get pushed to the breaking point.

Pros

Frequent and meaningful communications from the leadership team. The CEO conducts regular town hall meetings and communicates with employees at all levels about the business. The CEO also maintains an active blog to share insights about the Company and recognize employee accomplishments. This is a great place to work for people who like to stay engaged with the whole Company and understand how their contributions combine with the efforts of other departments. The organizational structure and culture supports internal employee movements and promotions. There is no shortage of opportunities for employees who want to try something new or take on new challenges. Competitive benefits, with a forward-looking approach to policies that help employees in and out of work. Example: the Company recently announced an enhanced, paid parental leave policy in the U.S. The leadership team is receptive to new ideas to make Sensient a great place to work. Strong commitment to the employee experience, starting before someone is hired (professional and efficient recruiting experience) and on the very first day on the job (organized and meaningful on-boarding experience).

Cons

The challenge is the same as the one faced at most companies - balancing the day-to-day activities in leanly-staffed departments with the more strategic work that will drive the business forward.
