Pros

The people you work with are really wonderful and easy to get along with for the most part, you have a few that are snobby . It is purely a learning experience, as they allow you the room to grow but more for short term learning, benefits are great!

Cons

They teach you nothing as they want you to learn on your own so it can be extremely frustrating, they want more from you then is possible at times, and there is a high turn over - people just don't want to stay - there is no work life balance, they do not allow working from home at all! Business outlook is poor and they have a very strict policies that are old and outdated.

The best reason to work here is to get your foot in the door for this industry. After leaving, recruiters from this industry flocked to me because they see Sensient as a sinking ship, but because of this they utilize their employees to their fullest till you are of no more use to them. Even if you are a producer as I was. However, being used in this way exposes you to so much more than what youd be doing at their competitors. Long story short, get in, take as much as you can from them, and get out.

Cons

The whole sales staff with the exception of 5 people across the entire company, have been laid off, quit, or fired, and my clients would tell me that is how things worked here from day 1. Horrible environment. The people below the executive level are top notch, but management is trash. I believe those in management wish they could do better, but they simply cant, and are holding things together with scotch tape and a phony disposition. Their CEO is not a strong leader, he inherited the company from his father and is running the business into the ground.
