Pros
Most of the staff was friendly and the pay was good for the work that was done. Clear sense of purpose and felt good to help people that were actually in distress.
Cons
Extremely mind-numbingly boring. But if you enjoy call center work this is the job for you. There was a lot of freedom at my last job so this felt like prison to me. Deal with rude callers (patients and staff) almost daily. My training was very inconsistent. Understandable that they were short on trainers but it still could have been better. The trainers were somewhat lost on what stage I was at in the process. I’d be held back when I was ready to move forward, and pushed forward when I needed more instruction. Every second you spend not on the phone is timed. One woman was complaining about another coworker that had been in the restroom for 6 minutes….obviously they’re busy… you literally just sit, stare at a screen, and cater to entitled callers all day. Also expected to work all week then be on call on your off days once you finish training. Very demanding of your time. You can only take your break or lunch when someone else comes back. If someone comes back late from break then then it makes yours shorter. If someone’s comes back late from lunch then you can still take your full lunch but whenever the other person gets back and for some reason this was a constant problem. So if you have no life and are ok with being watched like a hawk and and having job like The Office minus the humor then this is for you. Racially diverse which is good but not so much gender diversity.
